Our little Lucy has jaundice. The treatment is to expose her to light until the bilirubin in her blood breaks down and leaves her body via an increasingly awesome excretory system. She lies in a little snuggly tanning bed pretty much all day for the next two days, except for when she is feeding and playing. It's hard on us because we can't spend the day with her in our arms, but she is getting better and is very secure in her bed. Our little one now has a daily tanning ritual to go with the blond highlights. And you should hear her sing.

dear lord, that is the most beautiful baby ever. i want to move to seattle to be closer to her (i can take or leave the parents). just kidding. i'd hang out with lucy all day and then destroy mike in madden at night.
