End of the First Week

As we approach midnight, we approach the end of the first week with little Lucy. A few highlights:

Hiccups. She doesn't hiccup much, but when she does, she does so with great awareness. For example:

Lucy: (already hiccuping for 30 sec)
Papa: Hiccup if you love Papa!
Lucy: (hiccup!)
Papa: Hiccup if you want to watch the Super Bowl
Lucy: (hiccup!)
Papa: Hiccup if Papa can eat a pizza
Lucy: ........
........
........
Jess: Ouch!

With Mommy. She loves her mommy. She smiles, her eyes widen, her arms flail, and her mouth opens whenever mommy is near. With Papa, not so much. See below.

I assume her dour reaction is in response to the Pats performance on Sunday. Clearly she was as dismayed as I was by the refusal of the team to pick up the Mike linebacker shooting through the A gap.

Actually I was going to say her reaction is in response to what looks like a very weird 'stache that Mike is rocking.

That 'stache is part of a rocked beard, thank you very much.
